JLBJH In Denmark

14th December, 2020

We're delighted to announce a new concert for John Lees' Barclay James Harvest concert in Denmark: the band will be playing at the Fuglsøcentret, Dragsmurvej 6, DK-8420 Knebel, Denmark, on Friday, 1st October, 2021, and tickets are on sale now from this link.



New German Dates Added

4th December, 2020

Six new and rescheduled concerts are now confirmed for November 2021, in Bad Homburg, Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Nieder-Olm, Kusel, Limburg and Sinsheim. The full list of John Lees' Barclay James Harvest concerts planned for next year now reads as follows:




Salisbury Concert Cancelled

30th October, 2020

JLBJH regret that the Salisbury City Hall concert in October 2021 is now cancelled due to the permanent closure of the venue because of the Covid epidemic.

The band's management are currently working hard with the promoters to find a replacement venue for that date and beg your understanding during the difficult times.

Ticket refunds for Salisbury will be made automatically by the venue.

Rescheduled and Cancelled JLBJH Dates

4th October, 2020

We can now confirm that four of the John Lees' Barclay James Harvest concerts originally planned for 2020 have now been rescheduled for 2021, as follows:

Tickets already purchased for the original dates of the above four shows will remain valid for the new dates.

Unfortunately, because of routing and scheduling considerations, and the fact that so many acts are trying to reschedule concerts for next year, the planned concerts at both the Frome Cheese and Grain and Cardiff Tramshed have had to be cancelled, as has JLBJH's appearance at the HRH Prog festival.

Refunds for the Frome and Cardiff shows can be obtained from the point of purchase - we will refund all tickets bought through the Barclay James Harvest web site in the next few days, so if you bought from us, you don't need to take any further action. If you purchased tickets direct from the venues, or through a ticket agency, please contact them direct.

Work is still ongoing to reschedule the planned German and Swiss dates for 2021.



RNCM Concert Rescheduled

20th July, 2020

We're pleased to announce that the John Lees' Barclay James Harvest concert at Manchester's Royal Northern College Of Music has now been rescheduled for the 20th November, 2021. Tickets for the previously announced date will remain valid. If you don't yet have tickets, they can be purchased now direct from the RNCM.

Work is still ongoing to rearrange the other UK and German shows for next year.



German Festivals Rescheduled

14th July, 2020

We're pleased to announce that John Lees' Barclay James Harvest's previously announced appearances at two German summer festivals have now been rescheduled for 2021, as follows:



All tickets purchased for the 2020 dates remain valid for the 2021 festivals. Rescheduled dates should also be available for the postponed November/December Continental shows soon.

Regarding the UK concerts, work is still ongoing to book new dates in the latter part of 2021. Unfortunately, it is proving extremely difficult to contact the promoters at present, which is why some venues are still showing the original dates as going ahead. As soon as new dates in 2021 can be arranged, we'll be in touch again.



A New Date for A New Day Festival

6th July, 2020

We're pleased to announce that John Lees' Barclay James Harvest's headlining appearance at A New Day Festival has been rescheduled for Saturday, 21st August, 2021.

If you already have tickets for the postponed 2020 festival, they will remain valid for the new dates. Further information about purchasing tickets for the 2021 weekend, lineups etc. will appear on the festival web site at https://anewdayfestival.com shortly.



JLBJH Live Concerts Announcement

As a result of the impact of the COVID-19 virus it is with regret that all of the scheduled concerts in 2020 by John Lees' Barclay James Harvest are cancelled.

We are in the midst of rescheduling concerts for next year and tickets for shows originally scheduled for this year will be valid for the revised dates.We hope to announce a full revised touring schedule for 2021 in both the UK and Europe (COVID-19 permitting) in the next few weeks.

The two Summer open air shows in Germany due to take place this July in Erlangen and Seebronn have been moved to July next year and we will provide revised ticket links as soon as we have them.

Should any refunds be required, please refer to the points of sale for each show; however tickets will be valid for rescheduled concerts at the same venues.

John, Craig, Jez and Kev would like to thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to the release of a new album in 2021 and to seeing you next year. In the meantime we hope that you all remain safe and well.

Whilst we've been locked down, we haven't been idle, and are now putting the finishing touches to a new book on Barclay James Harvest! The book analyses the entire recorded output of the band, song by song and album by album. It covers all of the studio albums up to and including 1997's River Of Dreams, and there are additional chapters summarising the original band's live albums, solo releases and the work of John Lees' Barclay James Harvest and Barclay James Harvest Featuring Les Holroyd, bringing us right up to date.

The paperback book is part of Sonicbond Publishing's On Track series, and follows their standard format and layout, being A5 in size and including a photo section in the middle.

Barclay James Harvest and other short stories deluxe 3-disc set


On August 28th, Esoteric Recordings will release a newly re-mastered, re-mixed and expanded 3 disc clamshell box edition of the classic album, Barclay James Harvest and Other Short Stories. This expanded edition comprises 40 tracks and features the original UK stereo mix re-mastered from the original master tapes, and also includes a new stereo mix on a second CD and a high resolution 5.1 Surround Sound mix, plus the new stereo mix and original stereo mix on an NTSTC / Region free DVD, all from the original Harvest masters.

In addition there are three rare US album versions of "Medicine Man", "Harry’s Song" and "Someone There You Know", along with five BBC Radio session tracks from July 1971 and March 1972, plus two rare John Lees demo recordings from 1971 and three mono reduction mixes made at Abbey Road studios in July 1971. The set comes in a small clamshell-style box, and also includes a lavishly illustrated booklet with a new essay and a replica poster.

HRH Prog Postponed

17th March, 2020

Not unexpectedly, it has now been confirmed that the HRH Prog IX festival in London and Sheffield on 28th and 29th March has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. The plan is to reschedule it for later in the year, and as soon as we have any further information regarding new dates, we'll be in touch. Obviously all touring plans are now subject to change, but we'll do our best to keep everyone informed.

In the meantime, the message from John Lees' Barclay James Harvest and ourselves is stay safe, everyone, and we'll see you as soon as we can!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE : HRH Prog IX Postponed

Chic Festivals have today released the following statement:

“It is with a heavy heart we are taking the decision to postpone both  HRH Prog 9 festivals this March, due to a "Force Majeure" scenario.

With the recent outbreak of Coronavirus across Europe, we have been monitoring the situation daily. The situation is now classed as a Pandemic and we do feel it will get worse before it gets better. In line with recent government recommendations to avoid social gatherings, as well as the knowledge where we have customers flying in from all over Europe, some from countries which are in complete lockdown, we feel that all customers, bands and staff safety and wellbeing are our primary concern.

Both HRH Prog 9 festivals - at Shepherd's Bush Empire London & 02 Academy Sheffield - are both 2 day indoor contained events, both with a large percentage of the audience being more mature, which seem to be the most vulnerable to the virus. Taking all factors into account, we feel morally motivated to postpone the event to a future date which we are now working on with various parties.

Although this is a disappointment, we feel everyone must work together to minimize the risk of this awful virus.  A 2 day contained environment with a mature audience & people traveling in from infected areas is just too much of a risk to ignore.”

In addition, an announcement will be made at the start of April, once all new dates are secured and bands locked in.



Last German Show Confirmed

We can now confirm that the final date of John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest's series of autumn concerts to promote their forthcoming studio album will be at the Soest Stadthalle on Sunday, 22nd November.

JLBJH in Switzerland

18th February, 2020

John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest have added a show in Switzerland to their autumn tour: they will play at the Z7 in Pratteln on 4th November, 2020, and tickets go on sale today from the Z7 online box office.

Two more German concerts will be announced shortly, completing the list of dates for the tour.

We're delighted to announce that John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest will play the Cheese And Grain in Frome on Friday, 16th October.

We have a limited number of tickets available direct from us for the concert in Frome, priced at £35.00, with no additional booking fees.

Once our allocation has gone, tickets will also be available from the usual outlets, and we'll provide an alternative link then.

Please note that the concert in Frome is general admission with unreserved seating.

We are expecting just one more concert to be added to the U.K. tour, and hope to be in a position to announce that in the next day or two.

A New Day Festival

4th February, 2020


John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest will be headlining the Saturday night of this year’s A New Day festival at Mt. Ephraim Gardens, Faversham, Kent, on 29th August. Other acts on the bill that day include The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, whilst other days of the festival include Focus, Roger Chapman (Family and Friends), acoustic Strawbs and Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel.

John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest will be returning to Manchester's Royal Northern College Of Music on 31st October, 2020, as part of a short UK tour to promote their forthcoming brand new studio album.
