One Year On
13th December, 2011
To mark the anniversary of Woolly's passing, here is another painting by Miss Mio Hashimoto (Wasabi san) from Japan. Here are Mio's own words about the painting:
Hi, I'm Mio Hashimoto, thank you for seeing my BJH & Woolly's fan arts! I hope you like it.
Nostalgic autumn landscape crossed my mind when I listened to BJH's music for the first time. I thought that warm and soft colors are suitable for the band. I represent the mellow sound of BJH's music using these colors.
In addition, I added Japanese art styles to these artworks. Because I inspired by them any time and I want to try to fusion of Japanese styles and western culture. Anyway, I was so pleased to draw it, thanks.

Charity Auction
27th November, 2011

Now up for auction on eBay, a unique waistcoat with hand-stitched butterfly inspired by the classic Barclay James Harvest album artwork from Once Again, Baby James Harvest and Early Morning Onwards. The waistcoat has been signed and dated with an indelible fabric pen by John Lees and the other members of John Lees' Barclay James Harvest - Kev Whitehead, Jez Smith and Craig Fletcher - at the band's concert in Holmfirth last weekend. The grey waistcoat is size 10 - 12, has gold and black coloured metal buttons and is fully lined with a beautiful material decorated with sparkly silver butterflies, stars and flowers (hand wash only, because of the glitter on the lining).
As those of you who were at the recent Holmfirth or Leamington concerts will know, John is currently sporting a moustache in support of the Movember charity appeal, the aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. All proceeds from this auction will be donated to John's Movember fund - get a perfect one-off Christmas gift and give to charity at the same time!
The auction listing can be found at JLBJH Charity eBay Auction
You can also find out more about the charity, make a donation or just see John's 'tache on John's Movember Page!
Gone To Earth Named Third Most Successful German LP - Ever!
16th November, 2011
Official German chart company Media Control has named BJH's Gone To Earth the third most successful chart album ever in Germany! Their chart is based on points given for the number of weeks spent on the official chart and the positions reached. Number one is Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here (the new remastered edition of which has just re-entered the German album chart at No. 4), and second was German schlager singer Andrea Berg's Best Of.

Radio Tymes LP and CD
1st October, 2011
A new compilation album is out now, featuring rare radio broadcasts from the late 60s, amongst which is BJH's 1968 BBC session recording of "Night". The compiler has managed to track down off-air recordings of the original programmes, made by enthusiasts with reel-to-reel tape recorders, and has included snippets of comments from contemporary DJs, such as John Peel enthusing about BJH.
The LP version of the album marks the debut appearance of "Night" on vinyl, although the recording (minus Peel's comments) did appear on the 2002 remastered CD of the band's debut album.
The album also includes rarities from The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Yardbirds, Deep Purple and more. The LP and CD are available direct from the record label's web site, at http://www.topsoundsrecords.co.uk, or you can order them through online retailers such as Spin CDs or Amazon.
