Once Again Japanese Red Vinyl Issue:
One of the rarest of official BJH releases is this dark red vinyl pressing of Once Again, issued in Japan, alongside a standard black vinyl version, which is itself quite hard to come by, especially with its original paper 'obi' strip.
Toshiba, one of the main manufacturing companies in Japan, pressed some of the vinyl LP records for other labels, including the EMI group, on red, "Everclean" vinyl, between the years of 1958 and 1974. The Everclean vinyl contained additives which were designed to make the albums less prone to collecting static electricity and dust than the more common black vinyl, and are now highly collectible, since they were pressed in relatively small numbers, believed to have been in the order of only a few hundred.
So far as we know, Once Again was the only Barclay James Harvest LP to be issued in this format.
