Aufnahmedetails

Aufnahmestudio:

Dick Morrisey spielte Saxophon (siehe "All My Life" für weitere Information).

Prisoner Of Your Love

Text:
Got a good feeling
When she walks by
Got to move closer
She makes me high

The touch of her body
I feel next to mine
Every action
Moving in time

You got the power to start me burning up
You got the kind of love I need
And you could stop the world from turning round
The kind of love I can't believe
You lock me up and throw away the key
I'm a prisoner of your love

She's a woman of wonder
Just look in her eyes
It's a spell that I'm under
And she'll hypnotise

You're one in a million
You do it right
You're sending me crazy
Make it tonight

You got the power to start me burning up
You got the kind of love I need
And you could stop the world from turning round
The kind of love I can't believe
You lock me up and throw away the key
I'm a prisoner of your love

First time that I saw you, girl
I knew my eyes were open wide
And the world just seems a better place
As long as you are by my side

He Said Love

Text:
There once was a man
Who was born to be king
He changed all our lives
And he made my heart sing
He turned water into wine
And called his fishermen
He cured the sick
The lame could walk
The blind could see again

He told us of the shepherds
And the flowers in the field
The story of the farmer's seed
And the harvest it would yield
He told us of two houses
And the man who lost his son
Of two men in the temple
And the Good Samaritan

Love
Only love's gonna take you higher
Love
Only love's gonna carry you home

He healed the soldier's servant
He calmed the raging sea
He shared five loaves and two small fish
And five thousand he did feed
He told the rich men share your wealth
He cured the ten sick men
He raised a friend called Lazarus
And made him whole again

He said love
Only love's gonna take you higher
Love
Only love's gonna carry you home

He taught the children how to pray
The children he did bless
And Mary came with perfume
Before his feet she wept
He gave us bread - his body
He gave us wine - his blood
He asked us all to live in peace
And nothing do but good
Now one friend did betray him
Another did deny
With arms outstretched he died
So all of mankind could survive

There once was a man
Who was born to be king
He'll change all your lives
If you'll just let him in

He said love
Only love's gonna take you higher
Love
Only love's gonna carry you home

Love and understanding carries you home

Love
Only love's gonna take you higher
Higher and higher
He said love
Only love's gonna carry you home
Love...

Alone In The Night

Text:
The cold in your eyes
Like the misty breath of a whisper
On an ice-cold morn
The cold in your face
Like a dagger drawn
Like a flashing blade
In a killer blow
We were never lovers
And silently I froze within
The gaze from your eyes
That summer night

In the dark of the night
All alone in the night
In the dark of the night, calling
All alone in the night for your love
All alone in the night
I need you to hold me

Timeless arrows carved through
Broken hearts of stone
Shadows moving slowly across the ground
A cold reminder of the way
Things used to be
Now I feel the shadows
Moving over me
I searched in vain for love
When true love I had found
Like a blind man I could never see
Those timeless arrows pierce my soul
Now you're gone
Ageless shadows closing in
Won't let me be
Only you set me free

The cold in your eyes
Like the misty breath of a whisper
On an ice-cold morn
You told me it was over
And silently I froze within the gaze
From your eyes
That summer night

In the dark of the night, calling
All alone in the night, for your love
In the dark of the night, crying
All alone in the night for your love
In the dark of the night, calling
All alone in the night, for your love
In the dark of the night, crying
All alone in the night
I need you to hold me...

Turn The Key

Text:
You build me up
Then you make me fall
With a little more love
You could make it easy
I'm standing here
With my back to the wall
I keep holding on

You've been around
That's what I've heard
With a little more time
We could get together
You hang around
In your own little world
I keep holding on

A light shining in my life
A fire that is burning
I've never been this way before
You know that the time is right
To keep the flame burning
Turn the key and you'll open the door

Give me more

You shoot me down
My defences are low
With a little more love
You could make it better
I'm standing here
Wondering where do we go
I keep holding on

A light shining in my life
A fire that is burning
I've never been this way before
You know that the time is right
To keep the flame burning
Turn the key and you'll open the door

Give me more

A light shining in my life
A fire that is burning
I've never been this way before
You know that the time is right
To keep the flame burning
Turn the key and you'll open the door

You Need Love

Text:
Everybody's got to have a secret love
Everyone's got to be free
Free to believe that love lasts forever
Everybody's got to have a shoulder to cry on
Everyone's born with the need
The need to be loved in a moment of sadness
When you're all alone with the world on your shoulder
It's then that you'll know what I mean
You need love
You need love

Everybody's got to have their moments of coldness
Everyone's got to have warmth
A fire in their lives, so they join man and wife
After the fire, the flames and the passion
After the first years are gone
You still feel the need in a moment of sadness
You need love
You need love

When you're all alone with the world on your shoulder
It's then that you'll know what I mean
When you're all alone and there's no-one to talk to
It's then that you'll know what I mean
You need love
You need love

Kiev

Text:
My friends it's not what you were famous for
But now the whole world's watching you
If we could help you then you know we would
But we don't know just what to do

Eye to eye our ways are not the same
We never tried to understand
But it could pass to each of us you name
Then who's the one to take the blame

Kiev, a candle with a flame
You'll never be the same
Our hearts go out to you
And what you're going through
They've thrown away your past
Just like an empty glass
Into the fire

Someone wiser took the Steppe from you
I'm sure with reason it was right
But now it seems the whole world's blaming you
And who's the one to put things right

Kiev, a candle with a flame
You'll never be the same
Our hearts go out to you
And what you're going through
They've thrown away your past
Just like an empty glass
Into the fire

Kiev, a candle with a flame
You'll never be the same
We all will understand
You're really not to blame
They've thrown away your past
Just like an empty glass
Into the fire Kiev

African

Text:
Through the eyes of a child
There's no wrong or right
No reason to hate
No need for a fight
No colour, no creed
No malice, no greed
Till the child becomes a man

Give up your freedom
Hand back your rights
Then change your colour now
You're black not white
And there'll never be a piece of the action
Now you're an African

Forget beliefs and swallow your pain
You're just a number now
And Boy's your name
And you'll never get a piece of the action
Now you're a working man

African, Asian, it's all the same
Brown, black, Caucasian
It's all the same
Slave labour, working class
What's in a name?
Far left, far right, centre
It's power they crave

The politics of Apartheid
The politics of shame
The cold abuse of human rights
Of torture and of pain
Are only part of the action
When you're an African

The politics of making more
The politics of greed
The cold abuse of poverty
To keep your labour cheap
Are only part of the action
When you're a working man

African, Asian, it's all the same
Brown, black, Caucasian
It's all the same
Slave labour, working class
What's in a name?
Far left, far right, centre
Far left, far right, centre
Far left, far right, centre
It's power they crave

The politics of buying arms
When there's no food to eat
The politics of digging gold
Instead of planting seeds
The leader with his private golf course
And his flashy cars
Sits playing with his diamond wrist watch
While the people starve

The politics of shooting down
A plane that brings relief
By fat men playing power games
Who've got enough to eat
The politics of racial hate
The politics of war
The men who sell the guns have fun
While we all count the score

One, two, three, four
Thousands, millions
People dying just to keep
Them in the action

Through the eyes of a man
There's wrong and there's right
A reason to hate
There's need for a fight
There's colour, there's creed
There's malice, there's greed
When the child becomes a man

Following Me

Ein mittelschnelles Liebeslied von Les, das wie "Life Is For Living", die Metapher des Fliegens benutzt, um ein Gefühl von Freiheit und Romantik in der Musik zu produzieren.

Text:
Standing before me
Light shining into my eyes
Telling the story
You wandered into my life
Without your sweet love
Where in the world would I be
Love is the reason
You're following me

I try to hear you
Voice echoes into the night
You giving me your heart
I know that the feeling is right
Without your sweet love
Where in the world would I be
Love is the reason
You're following me

Come with me
Take a chance for our lives to be free
On and on
That's the way that we want it to be

I can see a new tomorrow
Maybe I'm dreaming
And the song we'll sing together
We can believe in
High above the clouds we're drifting
See how we're flying
Can you feel the music lift you
Higher and higher

Standing before me
Light shining into my eyes
Telling the story
You wandered into my life
Without your sweet love
Where in the world would I be
Love is the reason
You're following me

All My Life

Text:
It's been a long long time
Thought you were a friend of mine
Holding on the end of the line
I've been waiting for you

Seen the way the wind is blowing
Look around and I don't know
If the time is right or wrong
I've been waiting so long

All my life
All my life
All my life
I've been waiting
All my life
All my life
All my life
I've been waiting for you

Can't get away, can't get away
Can't get away from your love

I've been searching up and down
Watching as the world goes round
Just another boy in town
I was looking for love

See the way the rain is falling
Black as night and I keep calling
Your name out loud
I walk on and on and on and on...

All my life
All my life
All my life
I've been waiting
All my life
All my life
All my life
I've been waiting for you

All my life...

Panic

Text:
Panic
When you hear the music stop
Never let the silence win
Turn the record on again
Panic
When you hear the music stop
Never let them turn you down
Volume up and record round
Yeah, yeah, yeah, rock and roll
We love you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, turn the music up
We love you
So don't panic
Turn it up
Don't panic

Panic
When you hear the music stop
If they get under your skin
Give the disc another spin
Panic
If they try to shut you up
Never let them shout you down
Volume up and record round
Yeah, yeah, yeah, rock and roll
We love you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, turn the music up
We love you
So don't panic
Turn it up

Panic
When you hear the music fade
Raise your hands up to the sky
Never let the volume die
Panic
When you hear the rhythm slow
Stamp your feet upon the ground
Volume up and record round
Yeah, yeah, yeah, rock and roll
We love you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, turn the music up
We love you
So don't panic
Turn it up

Guitar Blues

Text:
Each night the same songs
Each night the pain
As I look for your face
In the shadows of the front row
Life came between us
Life on the road
We'd kiss and fly on
Like birds in the winter time

Every day it's another lonely ride
Was a time when you'd be here by my side
Oh, but the rain came down
Washed it all away
Now I stand alone with my guitar and play

When will I see you
How will I know?
My voice echoes on
As I wait by the telephone
Maybe you'll be there
After the show
But hope slowly fades
Like the lights in a stage show

Every day it's another lonely ride
Was a time when you'd be here by my side
Oh, but the rain came down
Washed it all away
Now I stand alone with my guitar and play

On The Wings Of Love

Text:
Close my eyes and dream the time away
Like the shadows in the night
Count the hours until the break of day
There's something missing from my life

Can you see me as you listen to the radio
Hope the message carries through
I can see you waiting, waiting on the other side
This song I sing is just for you

And I think it's gonna be all right
Sailing into the night
I'm gonna be flying high, higher than before
And it seems like an endless flight
Ooh, flying on the wings of love

Ooh, can you hear me talking down the line
Way out in the lonely night
And we both know
It's just a matter of time
Till we see the morning light

And I think it's gonna be all right
Sailing into the night
I'm gonna be flying high, higher than before
And it seems like an endless flight
Ooh, flying on the wings of love
